TRANSDAIRY: ELCIM at the Industrial Research Institute (IRI) in partnership with Berytech organized on Thursday the 6th of May, 2021 the third virtual focus group with IT experts to identify potential solutions to the challenges faced by the Lebanese dairy sector
In the context of the TRANSDAIRY project, an EU co-funded project under the ENI CBC Med Programme aiming to innovate the dairy value chain ecosystem in the Mediterranean, ELCIM at the Industrial Research Institute (IRI) in partnership with Berytech organized on Thursday the 6th of May, 2021 the third virtual focus group.
This event gathered 9 experts and representatives of leading IT companies in Lebanon to identify and discuss relevant solutions to challenges faced across the different stages of dairy value chain (DVC).
After a presentation of the TRANSDAIRY project, its objectives and activities, an open discussion with the attendees was undertaken.
They discussed potential and innovative IT solutions to solve challenges identified at each of the dairy value chain stages namely, the supply and production, the processing, the quality control, the packaging, the storage, the distribution and export, as well as marketing and communications.
ELCIM at IRI and Berytech are implementing partners in Lebanon of the TRANSDAIRY Project (‘TRANSborder Key Enabling Technologies and Living Labs for the DAIRY value chain’) funded by the European Union under the ENI CBC Med Programme. The partners will be facilitating a Living Labs, scouting for innovations, and managing grant vouchers to support innovators in the creation of spin-offs in the Dairy Value Chain.
The Project in Numbers Duration: 30 months The total budget of the project is €3.8 million with an EU contribution of €3.4 million (90%). Funded by : European Union (ENI CBC Med Programme)
